Women's Health Fellowship

Goal: To provide excellent, broad-based training in women-focused clinical medicine as well as foster academic leaders in women’s health
Structure: You will be a fellow in the department of OB/GYN. You will be a clinical instructor in the department of your residency training. Three to four ½ day sessions seeing your patients in the office. The remaining six to seven half days will be filled with fellow activities including but not limited Women’s Mental Health, Adolescent Gynecology, Urogynecology, Breast Disease, Endocrinology, Adolescent Health, Pulmonary Diseases, Women’s Heart Disease, Hysterectomy alternatives, Complementary and alternative medicine, and Medical Education, research (approximately one ½ day per week depending on your needs), administrative time (up to one ½ day per week or per two weeks depending on your needs).
Salary: Your salary will commensurate with that of a House Officer at an equivalent level of training based on the HOA contract. A portion of your salary comes from you seeing patients and billing for them. The remainder is paid for by the department of OB/GYN.
Research: It is the expectation of submitting at least one paper for publication. Often fellows are arriving here with work in progress which we can look to help you continue. There will be opportunities to submit to national meetings as well which is strongly encouraged.
